Bloom Associate Therapists:
Dramatherapists, Music Therapists and Art Therapists  
We are looking for bloomin’ brilliant Arts Therapists to join our team! 


We have a contract with a really lovely primary school in Sandwell in the Black Country for half a day per week and we’re looking for someone amazing to do this work! 

We are interested in hearing from Arts Therapists with skills and experience working with children aged 5 to 11 in school settings, who understand the challenges and rewards of such important work. We particularly want to hear from therapists who have experience of working with children who have experienced trauma and loss who present with complex needs. 


The successful applicant will: 

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Dramatherapy, Music Therapy or Art Therapy

  • Be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council as an Arts Therapist

  • Be positive, kind, reflective, creative and passionate about working with children and with schools 

  • Embrace diversity and inclusion 

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication 

  • Be committed to Bloom’s Guiding Principles 

  • Work closely with the school and build brilliant relationships to ensure the very best outcomes for the children 

  • Share Bloom’s commitment to safeguarding children

  • Have an up to date Disclosure and Barring Service check 

  • Be appropriately insured

  • Be in ongoing clinical supervision

  • Undertake continuous personal and professional development 


The role is a self-employed freelance position as Bloom Associate Therapist. It is part-time, 3 hours per week, term-time only. Contract to start September 2020, subject to Government guidance in relation to Covid-19. 

We are also looking for qualified and experienced Arts Therapists to join our pool of freelance therapists at Bloom for future opportunities.
